2013 Master Gardener Plant Sales

MasterGardenerEach year EMGs propagate plants from their own gardens for sale to the public. Proceeds from these sales support horticultural scholarships at local colleges and help fund our community education programs. For 2013, three EMG plant sales are planned for you to shop for your EMG-grown edible and ornamental plants including herbs, perennials, shrubs, and trees. You’ll find great prices on great plants proven to thrive in our Southern Piedmont gardens!

Saturday, May 4, 8:00am-1:00pm – Master Gardener SPRING PLANT SALE at Charlotte Regional Farmers Market at 1801 Yorkmont Road. Look for our sale in the first stall on the left as you enter the Greenery Shed through the front entrance.

Saturday, May 11, 2013, 7:30am-noon – Master Gardener SPRING PLANT SALE at Matthews Farmers Market on historic North Trade Street in Matthews.

August 2013, Date To Be Announced 10:00am-4:00pm Hummingbird- and Butterfly-Attracting PLANT SALE at the Hummingbird Festival at the Reedy Creek Nature Center at 2900 Rocky River Road.

WHERE TO FIND EXTENSION MASTER GARDENERS IN MECKLENBURG COUNTY IN 2013

August 2013 (date and time to be announced) – Plants Hummingbirds Love and “Ask a Master Gardener” at Reedy Creek Hummingbird Festival: EMGs will be found at this end-of-summer tradition held at Reedy Creek Nature Preserve (2900 Rocky River Road), offering information on gardening to attract hummingbirds, answering your gardening questions, and holding a PLANT SALE.
