Mecklenburg County 4-H teams up with World Wear project to raise funds to support local programs and to help those in Third World Countries!

What is World Wear Project?

One of our missions at World Wear Project is to distribute wearable, affordable shoes to third world countries while diverting millions of pounds of refuse from our landfills each year. With your help we can continue to persevere in this mission and help create funds for yours.

How can you help?

Participate in Mecklenburg County 4-H’s Shoe Box Program

The Shoe Box Program boxes should be filled with wearable basketball, jogging/running, tennis, court, aerobic and training shoes. We do not purchase canvas or any shoes with metal cleats. Shoes should be in wearable condition, no stains, holes or overly worn.

We also accept wearable men’s shoes, women’s shoes, and kid’s shoes. Shoes should include wearable all leather and leather look-alike tennis shoes, sports shoes, casual shoes and dress shoes. NO canvas, winter boots, or any shoe with metal cleats.
