4-H Youth Volunteer Leader Training (2017 4-H Youth Leader Training Flyer)

Are you a teen interested in building your resume as a 4-H Youth Volunteer Leader?  If so, join us at our office on Monday, April 10th, 2017 from 10 am – 3 pm for the upcoming 4-H Youth Volunteer Leader Training. Register here for the training and contact, 4-H Agent, racquel_mcneil@ncsu.edu with any questions. Registration closes April 6, 2017 at noon.

Training & activities will cover the following:
  • Ages & stages of youth development
    • Acquiring skills to keep participants active & engaged, age appropriately
  • The Experiential Learning Model
    • Gaining an understanding of the basis for all 4-H curriculum and activities
  • Leadership skill development
    • Characteristics of a good leader; team building; record keeping
  • Public Speaking
    • Covering public speaking basics as it relates to 4-H volunteers & leaders
