Get paid to work outside and serve your community parks!

Spend the weekend camping and working outside, making new friends, and doing meaningful conservation work in Charlotte’s parks and nature preserves. Never held a hammer or a shovel? No problem. A positive attitude and a strong work ethic are all you need – we’ll teach the rest!

The Fall NCYCC crew member positions are based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Members will work Friday at 4 p.m. through Sunday at 4 p.m. The weekends are October 19-21 or October 26-28, 2018.  Participants will camp for the duration of the weekend. Gear will be provided. No outdoor experience required to participate.

Participants will receive 15 hours of community service and a $100 stipend for project completion.

The deadline for applications is September 21, 2018, but applications are accepted on a rolling basis, so don’t wait. Submit your application today to be considered for one of our crews!

Please call (919.741.7290) or email Jan Pender (jan@ctnc.org), NCYCC Project Director, with questions about this opportunity.

A note from the director…
“We will offer paid, three-week positions for teens to do this same kind of work for Mecklenburg Parks this summer. The weekend NCYCC opportunity is a good way for students to see if they would be interested in a summer job with the NCYCC. The NCYCC provides job and work skills as well as intentional leadership development to help young people prepare for further education and future jobs.”
