A message from your NC State Extension Associate Director & State Program Leader, 4-H; Coordinator: Emergency Programs, Dr. Mike Yoder to 4-H staff, volunteers, and members across North Carolina:
“Welcome to National 4-H Week! As we celebrate not just the history of 4-H we also celebrate the incredible learn-by-doing programs that more than 260, 000 North Carolina youth participate in each year.
This year, we also want to remember those in the 4-H family who are just beginning the recovery from hurricane Florence. This process will take years but know that our Extension agents in counties like Robeson, Pender, Brunswick, New Hanover, Lenoir, Columbus, and many others are still busy helping their communities sort through the devastation and begin putting their lives back together. Thank you to all who have and will help with this process.
I hope you have an opportunity to celebrate 4-H in your own way, in your own communities, and can share that experience not only with 4-H youth but with the community at large. Thank you for all you have done this past year and for all you continue to do to Make the Best Better!”
HELP US CELEBRATE #nc4H!
