More Instructors. More Social Interaction. More Tools.

You asked! We listened! Med Instead of Meds will return this Fall-bigger and better! Extension professionals from across the South Central District of North Carolina will join to host a collaborative offering of Med Instead of Meds.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Learn 1-2 simple Med steps, including tips and hacks, each session,
  • A wealth of knowledge from Extension professionals,
  • More social interaction to share your successes and challenges, including a Facebook group and small group discussions,
  • Med Way recipes with recorded food demonstrations and/or cooking instruction, and
  • Tips to help you stay on track through the holidays!

Each week class participants will meet on Wednesdays from noon–1:30 p.m., starting on October 7, 2020. The format consists of:

  1. Weekly meetings via Zoom (1-hour lesson, approx. 30 min Q&A + small group activity)
  2. Follow up emails with recorded lessons, printable handouts, recipes, and recorded cooking demos.
  3. Offline challenges, giveaways, and activities within a closed Facebook group.
  4. Access to 7 Extension professionals to answer your questions about the Med Way.
