The time is now! Get your child involved with STEM and robotics through the new Union County 4-H club. The club will meet every third Saturday starting in February face-to-face. The club is open for youth ages 8 to 14 years old. The best part is the club is free to join.

They will learn how to do basic programming using the LEGO WeDo 2.0 or EV3 Mindstorms systems. The goal of the 4-H robotics club is to introduce or re-introduce young people to robotics in a fun, interactive way. Long-term, I would like to create two competing teams – 1) First LEGO Explore and FIRST LEGO Challenge. We will follow social distancing standards and restrictions will be applied.

To sign up for the club, contact the local 4-H office at 704.283.3735 or 704.283.3740. Parents or community members, if you are interested in learning more about robotics or wanting to serve as a volunteer for the program also contact the local office to get more involved with 4-H robotics or the 4-H program in general.
