The Cumberland County Department of Public Health is collecting residents’ opinions through the Community Health Assessment (CHA) survey.
The CHA is a health opinion survey that will gather information about the health and well-being of Cumberland County residents and help identify how we address these needs and concerns in the future.
The CHA offers a comprehensive picture of health, needs and resources in the community. Its goal is to describe the health needs of the community and to develop strategies to address those needs. The CHA is the foundation for all local public health strategic planning, priorities, coordination community action plans, and evaluation. This process is conducted every three to four years to meet requirements for accreditation for both local health departments and non-profit hospitals.
Cumberland County residents are invited to complete the survey as a part of the 2021 Community Health Needs Assessment being conducted by the Health Department, local hospitals, and other agencies. All surveys must be completed by June 18th.
The survey is available via hard copy or can be completed online. Please contact Tamra Morris at tmorris@co.cumberland.nc.us  for questions about the CHA survey.
