As the summer comes to a close, a lot of fun family activities start to close, too. Not so with the Cooperative Extension office! The Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) is bringing another fun, FREE class series for the whole family! In this Families Eating Smart and Moving More class, we will learn all about the foods that we eat, how to prepare them, and how to be more physically active. Dinner will be provided at each class.

Classes will be held weekly on Tuesday evenings, from 6:30-7:30 p.m., starting August 9th and concluding with a celebration on September 27th. Great information and PRIZES will be given out at each class, so you don’t want to miss any of them! Classes will meet at the Hendersonville First Church of the Nazarene’s fellowship hall at 111 N. Washington Street Hendersonville, NC 28739.

Please make sure to register no later than August 2nd at 5 p.m., so that materials can be provided. To register, please call either 828-697-4891 or 828-692-7746. For registration, please provide the following:

  1. Names, ages, and any dietary allergies/restrictions of those who will be participating
  2. An email address or phone number for class communications

We so look forward to eating smart and moving more with you and your family!
