N.C. Cooperative Extension leverages, connects, and strengthens the research and education in Extension programs to transform communities and promote economic prosperity. Community Resource Development (CRD) is an integral part of Extension in urban areas. CRD transforms communities and promotes economic prosperity by leveraging and connection the capacity of county based Agents and staff to build engaged leadership, inclusive partnerships, and innovative solutions.

CRD programs in the coming year will continue to focus on increasing awareness of food systems, agriculture law, science communications, and farmland preservation through community engaged research and outreach.
