The work of the he NC State Extension Master Gardener^SM (NC State EMG)  volunteer program in Mecklenburg County has an indelible impact on the well-being of the citizens of not only our community at large, but on all those inspired and engaged through this national educational organization. The values that direct the  NC State Extension Master Gardener^SM program’s priorities and goals, and guide the behavior and actions of its staff and volunteers, include six core areas: education, service, respect, fellowship, stewardship, and sustainability.
