More In My Basket (MIMB) was developed in 2010 at NC State University to increase food security through education and application assistance. MIMB is a research-based program that educates families on food resource management behaviors and facilitates access to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) by addressing identified barriers to application. MIMB serves all of North Carolina.

Join Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) Agent Demetria Cox-Thomas for a two-part series to learn about how to develop a budget, build a versatile pantry, & be creative in the kitchen.Part 1 will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 from 6-7pm and will teach participants the benefits of stocking pantry staples, how to create a stocked pantry, ways to organize and track food in the pantry, and discuss a variety of meals that can be made with staple ingredients.Part 2 of the series will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 from 6-7pm and will cover how to develop a household food budget to help meet your healthy lifestyle needs.
