Fire & Life Safety Bowl
The Charlotte Fire Department, Mecklenburg County Fire Marshal’s Office, Mecklenburg County Firemen’s Association and many others have proudly conducted the Fire & Life Safety Bowl since 1979. The Bowl consist of public and private Charlotte/Mecklenburg schools that have formed teams (4th and 5th grades) using injury-prevention study materials to compete against each other in a game-show format. The objective is to score as many points as possible by answering questions based on the study materials provided. Thanks to sponsor support, students win prizes and awards. Registration opens in November of each year. To request registration and obtain complete rules contact CFD Fire & Life Safety Education. *4-H provides enrichment activities on the day of the Fire Bowl and sits on the planning committee for this wonderful event both at the local and state levels!
