Collapse ▲Luckily we still have our awesome 4-Her, Bhoomishree. But soon she will be leaving Mecklenburg County to embark on her scholarly journey at NC State University! She won’t be far and we hope she continues to play a role with Mecklenburg County 4-H in the future. Bhoomishree said that 4-H has helped her decision making in regards to choosing NC State University. Although we are sad to lose her, we know that NC State will gain an amazing student who will make a difference in this world!
Bhoomishree will go on to study Food Science and Biomedical Engineering. Being passionate about food, as well as change, she says, “Food is one of our resources that we all depend on and is vital for our health and I want to help people by coming up with better packaging or how to avoid chemicals.”
When asked about her favorite memory with 4-H in Mecklenburg County, Bhoomishree shared that is was “the NC state fair hands down! Are you kidding me? It was so much fun, with lots of food, activities to play with, museums and more and also had the best group to enjoy with!”
We cannot wait to see Bhoomishree continue to make the best better!
