Welcome to the Mecklenburg County Seed Library Resource Hub.
Here you’ll find trusted, research-based information from N.C. Cooperative Extension to help you plant, grow, and enjoy your garden!

What is a Seed Library?

The Seed Library is a free community resource that allows residents to take home seeds to grow their own food, flowers, and herbs. This pilot program is designed to increase access to gardening resources, build local food knowledge, and support household-level growing across Mecklenburg County.
