4-H School Programs

4-H School Enrichment

4-H offers positive youth development and educational opportunities in many different forms. Most notably, our 4-H clubs operate in schools, after-school, and off-site locations. 4-H can also offer national, research-backed programs and curriculum supported by Land-Grant universities to schools. This is a great resource for educators and schools interested in exploring our experiential learning model and learn-by-doing approach.

Getting involved with 4-H also expands access to 4-H tours and experiences, including farm tours, work-readiness opportunities, university resources, 4-H conferences, and more.

If you are interested in seeing what curriculum and kits our Mecklenburg County office has, please visit our 4-H Curriculum and Kits page.

4-H Afterschool

4-H can thrive in after-school and before-school settings. Staff and youth can form clubs, work on projects, or explore different 4-H lessons and activities through a hands-on learning approach. 4-H Agents and approved 4-H volunteers can also lead trainings for interested staff and visit to lead activities and lessons for programs that express interest.

If youth have an interest they would like to explore, 4-H is a great connection with tools and resources to help programs and youth engage in those interests.
