We are thrilled to announce the launch of our new TV Series, “QC Homegrown,” airing weekly on Fox News Channel 46 WJZY QC News! This engaging series will explore the joys and benefits of growing your own food, whether it’s on your patio, in your backyard, or even on your window sill.
Over the summer, our talented 4-H youth have been featured in the series, showcasing their passion for gardening and sustainable living. As they head back to school, we’re excited to pass the torch to our dedicated Extension Master Gardeners and other knowledgeable Extension agents in Mecklenburg County.
“QC Homegrown” highlights the vital connection between us and the food we eat, a topic that often fades into the background in our busy urban lives. In a world where food production is increasingly out of sight, this series reminds us to ask, “Where does our food come from?” and encourages everyone to discover the fun and health benefits of home gardening.
Be sure to tune in every week to “QC Homegrown” on Fox News WJZY or catch up on the website, and join us in cultivating a healthier, green community–right from your own home!
